Summary

When Chloe Davis was twelve， six teenage girls went missing in her small Louisiana town。 By the end of the summer， Chloe’s father had been arrested as a serial killer and promptly put in prison。 Chloe and the rest of her family were left to grapple with the truth and try to move forward while dealing with the aftermath。

I liked it。 But I just had a feeling I had the plot figured out by the middle of the book。 I was pretty much correct， but lacked the details that the books plot then continued to fill in。 It was a good book though！

Wow。 Stacy Willingham does an excellent job of making the reader think they have everything figured out and then yanking the rug out from underneath them in a plot twist that’s so inherently obvious yet jaw-dropping。 I smugly thought I had the whole plot figured out about a third of the way in， but oh was I so wrong。 This book is visceral and gripping。 It is definitely a front runner for one of the best books I’ve read this year。 I will be anxiously awaiting whatever Willingham writes next。

This one was hard for me to get into at first， it’s hard for me with suspenseful and creepy stuff sometimes。 Not that it’s scary but for someone who leans on romance novels mostly， it is lol。 About half way in the book I really got into it and it had an ending I didn’t expect at all， one that I really loved。 It had a very good twist。 I gave it five stars on how it was written。 It really keeps the reader guessing。
